MARCH BREAK CAMP 2010 - March 15 - 19, 2010 THE POWER OF THE PEN
Children love participating in hands-on history activities and themed crafts at Joseph Schneider Haus. At this year's March Break Camp participants will have the opportunity to work in costume at Kitchener's oldest Mennonite farmstead and produce a craft a day. The Power of the Pen crafts will include puppetry, flip books, fraktur, quill pen writing and thaumatropes. The camp runs daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm for children seven to 12 years. The cost os $175 per child for the week. Call to register

Tuesday, March 16, 2010 The Travelling Reptile Show with Hamilton Reptiles 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to touch and handle numerous different live reptiles. Snakes, lizards, turtles, alligators frogs, tarantulas, and scorpions are all part of the show!
Wednesday, March 17, 2010 Try Celtic Dancing with Marty Pullin 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Enjoy Celtic Music 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. FREE ADMISSION IF YOU WEAR GREEN! Participants will be taught some fun, simple traditional dances from the
British Isles, and then dance them to live bagpipe or fiddle music.
Thursday, March 18, 2010 Silk Fusion Easter Eggs Intergenerational Adult/Child Workshop with Folk Artist-in-Residence Wendy Durfey 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. There is a cost involved. Pre-registration is required.
